Leah Short is a queer survivor of childhood sexual abuse who has dedicated the last 14+ years of her personal and professional life to creating healing spaces and community for survivors of gender-based violence. Leah is currently a Medical Social Worker & Private Practice Clinician in Grand Rapids, MI where they are able to implement justice oriented and survivor-centered practices in patient care.
Leah is an alumnus of Loyola University Chicago where she received her Master of Social Work. She also is an alumnus of Michigan State University where she received a Bachelor's of Art in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies. Leah's values are rooted in anti-oppression, justice oriented, and reflect over a decade of working in the field. Leah hopes to continue their journey of healing in community with other survivors.
